The first car I bought was a 1982 beige diesel VW Rabbit with well over 100,000 miles on it. I promptly painted it red for $129, added a sweet tape deck, plush seat covers & fancy plastic hubcaps. I still wish I had that car.
On a trip to South Africa a few years ago we saw countless beautiful old VW buses & campers. I confessed to my wife that I had wanted a VW Campervan since well before I could drive.
After our trip my wife suggested we should try to get one. 1 month later we found Van! on ebay in Grand Rapids Michigan. 2 weeks later we drove it home.
We are essentially the second owners of Van! & we love it. & so do our kids.
